The big change we observed this year is the greater interest in SIP/IMS-based enterprise solutions, including IP-PBX, IP phone, and even WiFi IP phone.
This is largely driven by the fact that major carriers in many countries in the region, like China, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore have started to roll out SIP/IMS trunking services to enterprises of all sizes. Taking China as an example, after over three years effort, GPON/EPON ONUs have already covered most of the business buildings and industrial zones in first-tier, second-tier, and even third-tier cities. Every ONU has one of its Ethernet ports reserved for connection to a SIP/IMS core network.
